House
Hansel and Gretel are one of the most famous fairy tale characters off all times. While the story remains the same, there have been tons of different houses on illustrations, in books and as animation. It is a perfect theme to let your imagination go wild. With this playhouse you can adjust and modify to your taste. In Part Three you will see how this candy house is an actual playhouse. You will see the inner side with it’s furniture.

● Card board 1.3mm thick, A2 size or equivalent. Smallest side of cardboard must be 20cm long.

TENSION
Work 53htr and 47 rows to measure 12 x 12cm or 4¾ x 4¾in using 1.25mm hook, or size required to obtain tension.
MEASUREMENTS
The house measures approximately (LXHxW)15 x 20 x 20cm/ 6 x 8 x 8in

Use stitch marker to mark beginning of rnds.
Unless stated otherwise, work into both loops of stitch.

SPECIAL STITCH PATTERNS
(fptr) Front post treble crochet. Refers to the front post around post of the tr below.
(FB) Front bump. Refers to the third loop of the st. When looking at the stitch notice the two horizontal strands facing, the FB is the lower of these two strands. When working into FB insert hook into lower strand only from the bottom, underneath the strand.
(bB) below Bump. Insert hook into the space below the two horizontal loops lying at the front of the st (ie underneath FB) and out through to the back of the stitch.

WAFFLE DOOR
Make two
With yarn D, 17ch.
Row 1: (WS) 1tr in 4th ch from hook (counts as 2tr) and in each ch to end, turn – 15tr.
Row 2: 2ch (counts as 1tr), 1fptr, [2tr, 1fptr] four times, 1tr, turn.
Row 3: 2ch (counts as 1tr), [1tr, 2fptr] four times, 2tr, turn.
Rows 4-9: Rep Rows 2 & 3 three times.
Fasten off and weave in end.
Make another the same in yarn E, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Sew the two parts with WS together inserting 3.5×3.5cm /1.4×1.4in cardboard while you work.
Decorate with colorful yarn from Part One – Candies, taking picture as guide.
Sew doors to door opening of Short Side.
CHOLOLATE CHIP COOCKIE ROOF TOP
With yarn D, 80ch.
Row 1: (WS) 1dc in second ch from hook and in each ch to end, turn – 79dc.
Rows 2-8: 1ch, 79dc, turn.
After Row 8 do not turn, but 1dc in each st and row end around entire piece as foll:
Rnd 9: 1ch, 8dc, 1dc on corner, 79dc, 1dc on corner, 8dc, 1 dc on corner, 79dc, 1dc in first ch – 178dc.
Fasten off and weave in end.
Make another the same Rows 1 – Rnd 9, but do not fasten off.
Join the two parts with WS together inserting 17x2cm /6.7×0.8in cardboard while you work as flls:
Rnd 10: [8dc, 3dc in next st, 79dc, 3dc in next st] twice, turn – 186dc.
Row 11: 1ch, [1slst, (1dc, 1tr, 1dc) in next st] 89 times, miss last 8 sts.
Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew to Roof and Chimney.
The short side without Row 11 should be sewed to Chimney.
MARSHMALLOW CHIMNEY
With yarn F, 10ch.
Row 1: (WS) 1dc in second ch from hook and in each ch to end, turn – 9dc.
Rows 2-14: 1ch, 9dc, turn.

Make 4 pieces in total and sew sides together to form a hollow chimney to sew to Roof and Roof Edge.
