As a crochet designer who loves to design miniature furniture, it was a gradual step to make a playhouse. The first dollhouse I made was a gingerbread house and it tasted for more playhouses. A Hansel and Gretal house was the first house that came up to me. A perfect house to go all nuts with the colours.
Hansel and Gretel are one of the most famous fairy tale characters off all times. While the story remains the same, there have been tons of different houses on illustrations, in books and as animation. It is a perfect theme to let your imagination go wild. With this playhouse you can adjust and modify to your taste.
The pattern for the entire house with all its candies and furniture is available for free on this website. As this is a very lengthy pattern, I have broken this up in three parts. In the first part you will start with the candies.
In part two you will build the playhouse. And in Part Three you will see how this candy house is an actual playhouse. You will make the inner side with it’s furniture.
